Christy is a digital and social media marketer based in Hong Kong, with 10 years of experience and counting. She has led communications teams in the art and non-profit industries, and consulted for lifestyle brand. Her work focuses on helping brands build and grow their social influence. Story-telling through engaging content is her forte to create brand resonance.
In her professional career, she has served non-profit organisations in art and culture, with extensive experience in spearheading the communications strategies, and managing key projects including fundraising campaigns, rebranding, social media platforms launch and revamp, website development, and more. With an expertise in social media marketing, she has a track record of growing following and engagement. During her time at Asia Art Archive as the Head of Communications, she has initiated a make-over of the organisation’s Instagram from developing a content strategy, putting in place a copy and image standard, popularising brand hashtags, to analysing data for audiences' persona. The revamped platform was welcomed by the Archive's visual-driven communities. In four years, the number of followers rose from 3K to 20K, and post engagement has a 400% growth.
Representing Asia Art Archive, Christy was invited by Asia Culture Center (Gwangju, South Korea) to speak at their inaugural social media roundtable about content creation, alongside communications professionals from the Brooklyn Museum, Centre Pompidou, Guggenheim Museum, and M-Woods. The presentation gathered 120 marketing professionals from art organisations in South Korea.
As a Psychology major and volunteer counsellor, Christy is personally invested in advocating for mental health. She dedicates part of her marketing practice to provide pro-bono consultancy to organisations championing related causes.
